Western Sydney Airport

Construction of Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport (WSI) is well underway and on track to commence operations in 2026. The airport is a transformational infrastructure project that will generate economic activity, provide employment opportunities in the Western Sydney region, and meet Sydney's and Australia's growing aviation needs.

WSI will be a full-service airport operating curfew free to deliver international, domestic and freight services. An environmental assessment in 2015-16 informed measures designed to mitigate and manage the effects of the airport's construction and operation on surrounding communities.
Qantas reaches agreement with WSI
THE Qantas Group and Western Sydney International Airport have reached an agreement that will see both Qantas and Jetstar operating domestic flights from the new airport when it opens in late 2026.
